DANICA GALLAGHER

Gallagher has provided consulting services for political and advocacy campaigns, non-profits and corporations in New York and across the country. Her specialties include: general communications strategy; writing and production of paid media (TV and radio); direct mail; public relations; crisis management; and policy development.


She began her career in electoral politics in ’92-’93, when she served as Issues Director for Rudolph Giuliani during his first successful campaign for New York City Mayor. Most recently, Gallagher served as Assistant New York City Comptroller for Policy and Communications from February ’07 to May ‘09.


Gallagher has also held a senior position at Sheinkopf Communications, served as Senior Vice President at George Arzt Communications, and was a senior member of the Garth Group where she had the opportunity to work closely with David Garth, one of the founders of political media consulting, whom she considers her mentor.

She has also worked on issues advocacy campaigns for New Yorkers to Change Albany (successful defeat of Prop. 1), the Los Angeles Police Protective League, the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association, DCI Group, and the New York Healthcare Alliance. Her corporate and non-profit clients have included the Hispanic Federation, New School University, Clear Channel Entertainment, the United Way of New York City, the Construction Industry Partnership (comprising the Building and Construction Trades Council and the Building Trades Employers’ Association), the School Choice Scholarship Foundation, Hunt’s Point Terminal Market, and New York-Presbyterian Hospital.
